Just got the news a few minutes ago. We're a go to run a "monthly" tournament this Saturday October 5 at noon PDT. A few notes. The tournament infrastructure still has some big flaws to fix. What we've done for now is gotten more robust tools to try and resolve issues with the tournament manually, should they come up. With recent patch/update, participating in Fractals of the Mists is another good way to give yourself a boost in AP, as completing a fractal for the first time will give you +10 AP (5 for Fractured!, 5 for Dungeons -> FotM). For long term achievement point earning, work on your dailies, monthlies, and living story achievements and complete them
The main problem is that power mesmers are usually extremely skilled, since you can't play the build and do well without being really good. So you are usually being outplayed by the mesmer. And ofc its a dicey 1v1 matchup, 1 misstep and you are out (whereas the mesmer has to make 2-3 mistakes to go down). I dont underatand why a silver player can team up with a plat player. Why is that allowed?! So many problems with ranked that even anet gave up after the esl. And havnt done a thing to acutally address the cheaters, bots and rule brakers to improve pvp since season 1. So I was interested in looking up how much it currently costs to unlock the entirety of the story as a new player. This means purchasing; Season 2, HoT, Season 3, PoF, Season 4, and I believe Icebrood Saga episodes, as they are only unlocked for free if you were present for their release.
