The pressure switch - down to the left as you look into the engine bay, between the radiator and the alternator and mounted vertically off the aircon pipe - is a screw off/on fitting with an electrical connector on top that fits onto a Schrader-type valve (like a car tyre valve) on the pipe, that allows the switch to be removed with minimal
They originally quoted me £780+ but after speaking with VW head office and taking my full VW service history in to account (my car is an '06 and out of warranty) they reduced the bill to £130. Unfortunately the parts are on back order so it could be a while before I get working air-con again but still £130 beats £780 any day of the week.
Heater blower motor randomly stopped working. Put 12v to the fan and it spins. Bought a replacement fan with a new resistor module Tried different climate control module Checked all wiring from fan to climate control module to fuse box. All is good and getting 12v. Checked fuses and relays 2007 GTI
posted 2015-Apr-6, 11:52 am AEST. Refridgerant gas might be low but biggest issue will be how it leaked out, if there isn't anything obvious like a loose joint. Need to trace the leak to fix it, then evacuate system before regas. Might also need to renew the dryer canister.

Hi all, i have a Mk5 Golf 5 door 1.6 fsi se 54 reg and my drivers side electric window is stuck down, ive checked the fuses and they are fine, ive replaced the switch and the motor with brand new genuine parts and its still not working, the switch on the drivers side still works the passenger side
